Over at my Curl blog I have a series of snaps from testing Curl as flashcard markup.
Here is a snap as the markup evolves to simple wiki-style CardFontStyle and such.

Curl Unicode parse for kanji
This small desktop utility displays a kanji given a Unicode utf-16 hex value.
The source is a text file that is easy to edit.
The utility is light enough to add to a linux run in RAM off the SDD or an SD card of a netbook.
Given a Unicode value in a paper source, I often want to quickly get a clipboard copy of that kanji into an e-text without opening a browser or an e-dict.

Tagaini Jisho missing vertical scrollbar
Half-screen Puppy linux Tagaini Jisho tip for no vertical scrollbar on 1st startup : right-click in the TJ window frame's top ; click maximize-Y.
Hopefully the team can address this little glitch soon.
But then, the feature is handy for new users of Precise Puppy linux and such.
The symptom : TJ extends below lower JWM bar but yet has no scollbar on right of main menu so as to expose contents by scrolling. Closing the list pane has no effect.
